Reward Offered In Search For Mont Ripley Vandals

A $1,000 reward is being offered to help find those responsible for damaging property on Mont Ripley Ski Hill.

According to Mont Ripley’s Facebook postvandals burned the top ramp retaining wall on the Copper lift on the weekend of May 6th and 7th.

There was several thousand dollars worth of damage done and may have resulted in hundreds of thousands in damages had the flames reached the nearby lift.

Mont Ripley officials say they have been the victim of much vandalism in the past and they are looking for information leading to an arrest of the person or people involved in this incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Mont Ripley (487-2340) or the Michigan Tech Public Safety office (487-2216).
