“I Feel Pretty”, ”Officer Krupke” and “America”–just a few of the iconic tunes that are part of the Tech Theatre’s production of West Side Story.
With roughly 30 cast members and three times that many working behind the scenes, Director Trish Helsel says the show is an ambitious undertaking.
Michigan Tech student Brendan Collins and local actress Kiersten Birondo headline the cast as Tony and Maria, who Birondo says are just trying to escape their world of poverty and discrimination.
West Side Story opens at the Rozsa Center tonight with additional performances Friday and Saturday, showtimes are 7:30pm each night.
