The report was released by the personal finance website Good Call dot com.
A total of 292 universities across the U.S. were evaluated.
Michigan Tech came in at number 8 on the list among the top universities for adjunct and non-tenure track professors to teach and earn a living.
Tech ranked within the top 10% for its average monthly pay, comparative salary to tenured and tenure-track faculty, student-teacher ratio, and student graduation rates.
The report also took into account the affordability of Houghton as it compares to the national average.
Coming in at number one on the list was Notre Dame.
