The Michigan Senate has approved “The Good Jobs for Michigan” package sponsored by Sen. Jim Stamas.
The bills would help the state attract new and expanded business investments resulting in the creation of high-wage Michigan jobs.
Stamas says qualifying businesses would either have to create at least 500 jobs that pay the regional average wage or add at least 250 jobs that pay 125 percent of the regional average.
Governor Snyder has supported the concept of the legislation which now heads to the house.
