Camp 911 Emergency Preparedness Camp is right around the corner. The two-day camp is this Tuesday and Wednesday at Mercy EMS Facility on Airport Road. The camp is free to students who are completing or entering sixth grade in a Houghton or Keweenaw County school. The camp uses hands-on experience to teach area youth all areas of emergency preparedness. Topics covered include; fire, Internet, wilderness, personal safety and how to administer CPR. It also includes a heavy focus on what to do if you’re the first on the scene of an emergency situation. Alternatives to high-risk behaviors are also introduced.
