Science Fair & Festival At Michigan Tech

200 students in grades four through eight will participate in the 19th Annual Western Upper Peninsula Science Fair and Science and Engineering Festival today on the campus of Michigan Tech.

The event begins at 4:30 in the MUB Commons area with several hands on activities for the students to enjoy at the festival.

Director for the Center for Science and Environmental Outreach Joan Chadde says there will be more than 30 stations for the kids to enjoy.

Parents are asked to accompany their children during the festival.

Starting at 4:45, the Science Fair will be held in the 2nd floor ballroom and the public is welcome to view the projects on display.

Judging begins at 6pm and the winning projects will be on display at the Carnegie Museum in Houghton from April 10th to the 22nd.
