Two People Hospitalized After Meth Lab Found In Ripley

Two people were taken to the hospital after authorities discovered a meth lab inside a Ripley residence Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m., deputies with the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical call at a residence on Royce Road..

A search warrant was secured for the residence and detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team were called to assist with the search using personal protective equipment.

A single pot meth lab was discovered, recovered and secured.

Two unresponsive people located in the residence were transported by ambulance to UP Health System – Portage.

The medical conditions of the two people as well as their identities have not been released.
