Michigan Tech’s Spring Career Fair, among the largest ever, will take place from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 22) in the Student Development Complex.
Steve Patchin, director of Career Services, says that, as of last week, 220 recruiting organizations have committed with some still signing up, making it at least the fifth largest Spring Career Fair in school history.
Patchin says the majority of the organizations are looking for full time employees, but many have other needs to fill.
“It is interesting that 156 recruiting organizations have stated they’re recruiting for full-time positions, while 143 are looking for interns and 67 are looking for co-ops. Companies are definitely here to fill their summer needs.”
As in years past, in addition to recruiting highly-desired college graduates, for many of the company reps, Career Fair is a homecoming. A vast majority of the recruiters coming to campus are Michigan Tech alumni returning to campus.
Company info and booth locations can all be found in the Michigan Tech Career Fair Plus app available in the iTunes App Store and on Google Play.
While the vast majority of those coming to Career Fair are current Michigan Tech students, Career Fair is open to Tech Alumni as well as students from other colleges and universities.
