110th District State Representative Scott Dianda is about to begin his third term in the house. In an interview with Todd VanDyke this morning on KBear 102.3, Dianda said he’s interested first and foremost in doing the best job he can in his final term. “I’m very happy to serve the people of the 110th District,” he said. “I want to do my last term well for them. My main concern is that we’re represented well up here in the seven counties.”

Still, he’s also casting a glance forward. “My plan is to explore running for the Michigan state senate,” Dianda said, adding that many people have asked him about his future. Dianda is a Democrat from Calumet. The 38th state senate district is represented by Republican Tom Casperson from Escanaba. Neither Dianda nor Casperson can run for re-election to their current positions because of term limits.

Dianda talked with VanDyke about a number of issues. The complete interview is available online here.
