Michigan Infrastructure Report Anticipated

A report to be released this morning looks at how much it will cost to repair the state’s aging infrastructure.

The Governor’s commission thinks the long term price tag to fix the infrastructure could run anywhere between $5 and $10 billion.

The question is where to get that much money.

Some of it could come from selling bonds, some from reshuffling some of the current infrastructure dollars.

One of the recommendations is to test for lead in schools.

That could cost between $25 and $50 million over the next ten years.

The report will be released at nine o’clock this morning.
