Judges across Michigan will finalize adoptions as part of Michigan Adoption Day.
Seven families will be united at the Hall of Justice in Lansing with Chief Justice Robert Young and several judges presiding over ceremonies.
Adoption day was set up to highlight the importance of adoption and the needs of children in foster care.
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, working with adoption agencies and the courts, was able to finalize more than two-thousand adoptions in Michigan this year.
There are more than 12,000 kids in foster care.
