A Sawyer man at the center of a DEA, ATF and UPSET investigation is facing a federal gun charge. The U.S. Attorney’s Office in Marquette filed a complaint on June 27th against 31-year-old Jimmy Wayne McField. He’s accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm. U.S. District Court staff members say McField does not have any appearance dates scheduled at the moment. UPSET detectives arrested him in late June. After the arrest, police carried out a search warrant at a residence on Invader Street in Sawyer, where they say they found additional evidence and drugs. McField is currently in the Marquette County Jail.
