Input Sought From Houghton Businesses On Lakeshore Drive Project

Business owners in Houghton will be receiving a survey in the near future as plans move ahead for the Lakeshore Drive improvement project.

Addressing the Houghton City Council at their regular meeting Wednesday, City Manager Eric Waara said the surveys will collect information such as hours of operation, entries, and deliveries to try and make the project “as painless as possible.”

The summer 2017 project will involve digging up the road and will affect parking and foot traffic as well.

Waara said they plan to schedule a couple of meetings this winter with business owners.
