Snyder Creates New Office In Wake Of Flint Water Crisis

The state of Michigan’s top doctor will join Governor Rick Snyder’s Cabinet and report directly to him in the wake of Flint’s water crisis.

Snyder signed an order establishing the Office of Chief Medical Executive and creating the Public Health Advisory Commission.

The moves were recommended by a task force that deemed state government to be primarily responsible for Flint’s lead contamination.
