Authorities are looking for those responsible for vandalizing a group of donated bicycles in Hubbell over the weekend.

Local resident Fran Monville says he has carried on the work at Ernie’s Service Station of restoring the bicycles so someone else could enjoy them.

So it’s a mystery why someone would do what they did.

There were about 17 bikes dragged away and though they were recovered, most of them were ruined.

Anyone with information about this incident should call the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office at (906) 482-0055.
