Homelessness is an ongoing problem in the Copper Country, even if it is somewhat of an invisible one.
That’s John Niemila, chair of the Copper Country Homeless Prevention Coalition.
An event called Project Homeless Connect is being held this Thursday from 11am to 1pm at Hope Fellowship Church in Houghton so people struggling with homelessness can find help.
Numbers from 2014 showed there were about 263 people homeless in Baraga, Keweenaw and Houghton Counties.
