Cameron Maybin returned from the disabled list, and drove in two runs with a single yesterday. Some of Detroit’s other injured players may be back soon, as well. Shortstop Jose Iglesias will begin a rehab assignment in Toledo today. He’s nursing a bad hamstring. Jordan Zimmermann threw 30 pitches in a simulated outing yesterday, and could be ready to make a rehab start for the Mud Hens on Friday.

To make room for Maybin, the Tigers sent shortstop Dixon Machado back to Toledo. They also released reliever Bobby Parnell.

The Milwaukee Brewers scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning, and came from behind to defeat the Seattle Mariners 7-6 yesterday. Chris Carter tied the game with a two-run homer, and Scooter Gennett singled home the winning run. Keon Broxton homered twice.

The Brewers return home to host the Rockies tonight. Jimmy Nelson will pitch against Chad Bettis.
