A new CareerBuilder survey finds that people are doing some outlandish things in hopes of landing that new job.
Based on a nationwide survey of hiring managers, unusual tactics employed by job seekers have included:
Having a priest contact the company and ask for candidate to be hired
Buying a first class airplane seat to sit next to the hiring manager
Dressing up in a Halloween costume–the job interview was in October
Slipping money into an envelope
Sending a shoe with a flower in it as a thank you note–saying they were trying to get their ‘foot in the door’
