Traffic on the Mackinac Bridge is hitting new highs. The Bridge Authority says traffic was up in July compared to a year ago and there’s been more activity for the first six months of the year.
Even though Summer is coming to an end, officials say traffic will be peaking this month.
Helping drive traffic later this month is the Motorcycles on the Mac event this Saturday and the Corvette Crossroads on August 27th.
Thousands of walkers and runners are expected on the bridge for the annual Mackinac Bridge Walk on Labor Day.
