Due to the growth in popularity of the Hancock Canal Run, some changes are being made to the event. This year, both lanes of Quincy Street will be closed from 8:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Event Coordinator Angela Luskin says it was a neccesary move to make.
In previous years, traffic on Quincy Street was down to one lane but Luskin says she got together with police and other city officials to talk about the safety benefits for this event.
The Canal Run is scheduled to take place on July 19th.
