The Keweenaw National Historical Park and the Western U.P. Health Department invites the public to a free tour and fitness walk this evening at 7pm in Calumet.
The guided walk, titled Discover the Geology All Around You, will cover 1-2 miles on mostly level terrain.
Participants should arrive at the Calumet Visitor Center and dress comfortably for the weather conditions.
A park ranger will lead the discovery walk and talk about the Keweenaw Peninsula’s unique geological formations that led to the Copper Boom.
