The case against Hancock man who allegedly attacked another man when a drug deal went bad is now over.
27-year-old Joseph Schreiber was sentenced to 12 months in the Houghton County Jail for both Felonious Assault and Attempted Larceny in a Building.
Those sentences will run concurrently.
He was given credit for 66 days time served.
Schreiber was also given two years probation and ordered to pay $1,643 to the victim, 29-year-old Andrew Rohrer.
The incident happened in June when police say Schreiber attempted to purchase marijuana from Rohrer illegally.
Rohrer was charged with Delivery/Manufacture of Marijuana and faces a pretrial later this month.
