A Copper Country resident is once again getting tapped by Governor Rick Snyder for a state board.
Julie Sprenger of Laurium has been reappointed by the governor to the Michigan Travel Commission, along with Lawrence Schuler of St. Joseph and Jerome Toney of Howell, according to an announcement released Thursday.
Julie and her husband Dave own and operate the Laurium Manor Inn.
The Commission collaborates with destination marketing associations, nonprofit corporations and organizations to develop, promote and enhance Michigan’s travel and tourism industry.
It also provides the Michigan Economic Development Corporation with input and advice regarding activities related to tourism in the state.
Members serve four-year terms expiring Aug. 20, 2020.
Their appointments are subject to the advice and consent of the Senate.
