Beware Of Wild Parsnip

It may be attractive to look at, but the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service is sending out a warning about wild parsnip.

It’s a perennial that can stand 3-5 feet tall and is becoming very prominent in the Upper Peninsula.

The problem is if you touch it and are then exposed to U.V. light, you can get severe burns, rashes and blisters.

Seeds from the plant can exist for up to 4 years.
