Domestic Violence Victims Shelter Needs Volunteers

There are many ways to support the Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home, giving of your time is one of the most valuable.

The shelter for victims of domestic violence is in need of volunteers.

Mary Niemila is the executive director of the shelter.

Niemila said 25 years ago the shelter had about 35 volunteers but these days, they only have about a half a dozen.

Evening and weekend shifts are available with volunteers choosing the shifts that fit their schedule.

Callthe Barbara Kettle Gundlach Shelter Home at 337-5632 for more information or visit their Facebook page.

The entire interview with Mary Niemila will be aired on this Sunday’s episode of Copper Country Today.
