Michigan City To Celebrate Tornado Anniversary

Residents are set to mark the one-year anniversary of an EF-1 tornado that caused more than $3 million in damage to the city of Portland.

Residents will gather Wednesday night for a Celebrate Portland service at an intersection where several churches struck by the tornado are located.

Officials say about 132 buildings were damaged by the tornado, causing an estimated $3.3 million in property damage.

No injuries were reported.
