Historic Atrocities Added To Public School Curriculum

Governor Rick Snyder signed legislation requiring Michigan public schools to teach students in grades 8 through 12 about the Holocaust and the 1915 Genocide of more than a million Armenians.

Snyder says it’s important that students learn about these terrible events in our past, as we work toward creating a more tolerant society.

An estimated 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust during World War Two.
