Patrol Car Involved In Three-Car Accident

A Marquette County Sheriff’s Deputy was involved in a patrol car crash Friday evening while responding with lights and sirens to another call for service.

The crash happened around 8:45 PM on US 41 within the intersection of County Road HQ in front of the Marquette Walmart.

The Michigan State Police was requested by the Sheriff’s Department to investigate the crash.

Two troopers trained in advanced accident investigation were called to the scene.

There were three vehicles involved with minor injuries to four people, including the Sheriff’s Deputy.

Three of those injured sought treatment at UP Health Systems Marquette.

The investigation is still ongoing.
