Calumet Police Funds Could Be Diverted To Other Areas

The Village of Calumet will have to decide what to do in the wake of the resignation of Calumet Police Chief Dave Outinen.

The village currently has a temporary chief and will run an ad to see if there is interest in the position

With limited resources available however, Village Administrator Rob Tarvis says some of the money saved from not having a full-time police chief could be used to address another one of Calumet’s biggest concerns–the roads.

The often-maligned 4th Street in Calumet is having repairs done to it during the reconstruction of Red Jacket Road.
