Houghton County Board Meeting Recap

A full docket was on hand for the Houghton County Board of Commissioners meeting yesterday. The board approved a purchase agreement of a lot near the airport for the construction of a commercial facility for a local bus company. The Houghton County Medical Care Facility presented their upcoming structural changes that will be phased-in in the next year or so and Board Chairman says he is impressed.

The board also discussed wage increases for court administrators, a topic that carried over from the previous meeting and Ala says the idea does not make sense fiscally.

The board decided that the proposal should be further examined and possibily discussed again at the next meeting.
