Businesses Encouraged To Hire Workers With Disabilities

Michigan Lt. Governor Brian Calley and Supreme Court Justice Richard Bernstein are pushing businesses to hire people with disabilities.

A statewide business workshop is scheduled for June 21st in Flint as part of the MI Hidden Talent tour.

Calley says people with disabilities have a lot to offer a company, but are often overlooked.

The workshop will provide business owners with training and resources to begin inclusive hiring practices.

Two other stops are planned for later this year, although dates and locations haven’t been announced.
