Walking is the greenest way to travel and the City of Houghton is grabbing some attention for being a great city to step into.
The website, SaveOnEnergy.com, listed Houghton at number four for walking in medium sized cities in the country.
Survey results were pulled from the U.S. Census over a five-year period to determine which city’s residents are taking an eco-friendly approach to their daily commutes.
That data was used to rank which areas have the highest percentage of green-minded commuters in the U.S.
