Missing Man's Truck Found As Search Continues

Waisanen, JosephThe search continues for an Army veteran who went missing in L’Anse last month.

The truck belonging to 33-year-old Joseph Waisanen was found in the Huron Mountains near Forty-Foot Falls in Marquette on Sunday.

Sergeant Kevin Dowling is with the Michigan State Police Negaunee Post.

Michigan State Police aviation from Lansing is currently searching the area while the 2-day ground search continues.

Waisanen reportedly suffers from post traumatic stress disorder.

He has been missing since March 20th, where he was last seen on Baraga Avenue in L’Anse around 10:30 that Sunday morning.

He is described as 6’6” tall, 240 pounds with short red hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on Waisanen’s whereabouts is encouraged to call 911.
