A Canadian company’s effort to move forward on their White Pine project will be delayed.
Highland Copper Company says the period to complete the acquisition of the project from Copper Range Company has been extended from March 31st to May 6th.
The final closing of the acquisition is subject to releasing Copper Range for financial assurance and certain environmental obligations associated with the remediation and closure plan of the historical White Pine mine site in a manner that is acceptable to all parties involved, including the applicable governmental authorities.
Highland also received an extension on the maturity date of a $10 million (Canadian) loan to May 6th.
Highland Copper Company is a Canadian exploration company focused on exploring and developing copper projects within the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
