It’s setting up to be a busy day at the Capitol Wednesday.
As state lawmakers continue to chip away at a plan for Detroit Public Schools, a nurses group and civil rights activists plan separate demonstrations on the Capitol grounds.
Registered nurses are scheduled to hold a rally on the Capitol steps calling for reforms to address understaffing at Michigan Hospitals.
Meanwhile, the NAACP will hold an event outside the Capitol to call on Governor Rick Snyder to take the necessary steps to replace the water pipes in Flint and return safe drinking water to the people of Flint.
