Morning Sports for Monday, June 2nd:
MLB: Tigers
The Tigers collected only three hits off Seattle starter Roenis Elias… and fell to the Mariners 4-0 Sunday. Elias struck out eight, as he recorded his first complete game in the majors. Max Scherzer took the loss… giving up four runs before leaving in the seventh.
The Tigers have today off, and open a home set against the Blue Jays tomorrow night. Anibal Sanchez will face Drew Hutchison. Hear the first pitch at 7:08 on AM 1400, WCCY.
Brewers
Kyle Lohse pitched a three-hit shutout, as the Brewers blanked the Cubs 9-0. Lohse also contributed two rbi singles. Ryan Braun and Scooter Gennett homered.
The Brewers host the Twins tonight. Matt Garza will start against Kyle Gibson.

– At Miller Memorial Field in Laurium, Osmose faces Post 90/Lakes Lounge at 6:15… and then takes on North Ponte Trucking at 7:30.
– At Hurontown, Pat’s Foods/ThermoAnalytics meets 906/Pilgrim River Steakhouse at 6:15… and then faces Nutini’s at 7:30.
– At the Hancock Driving Park, McGann’s/Northern Auto plays Auto Value at 6:15… and then takes on Coca Cola/Miller’s Recreation at 7:30.

Keweenaw Bay Fishing Classic Will Be Held Saturday
The Keweenaw Bay Classic Fishing Tournament scheduled for Saturday will be held as scheduled. Organizers of the Baraga County Lake Trout Festival are confident that there will be enough open water for fishing… despite some lingering ice. Competitors can fish anywhere south of the line from the Big Bay lighthouse to the Gay Stack. Registration is still open at the Lake Trout Festival website.
