Michigan Among States With Highest Taxes

Michigan has the 7th Highest Tax Rates in the Nation, according to a WalletHub Study.

The analysis looked at the various tax rates among the 50 states and District of Columbia in terms of the national average consumer’s income and spending habits.

With first representing the lowest and 25th the average, Michigan ranks 45th in overall effective state and local tax rate, 37th in income tax, 44th in real estate tax, 26th in vehicle property tax and 11th in sales and excise taxes.

Tax day is April 15th.
