A rapidly-growing field will now be featured as a class at Finlandia University. The Board of Trustees have approved the addition of an Associate in Applied Science degree in Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to the College of Health Sciences. Starting this fall, students can take courses in a field that according to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, in the next ten years is expected to grow by more than 20 percent. College of Health Sciences Dean Dr. Cameron Williams says the expansion is a sign of progress for the community, both on and off campus. This is the first new degree for the Finlandia University College of Health Sciences since adding the Medical Assistant program in 2009.
