Ice Sculpture, Petitions Delivered To Governor's Office Relating To The Flint Water Crisis

A group of activists dropped off petitions Thursday to the governor’s office, signed by 1 million people calling on the governor to resign over the Flint water crisis.

Mark Crain with MoveOn.org says Rick Snyder resigning is the only thing that would right the wrongs of lead contaminating Flint’s drinking water.

The activists also set up an ice sculpture in front of the Romney Building in Lansing, which houses the governor’s office that reads, “Snyder Poisoned Flint.”

The sculpture is tinted brown to reflect the color of Flint’s drinking water.

Neil Sroka with Democracy for America says while the sculpture will likely melt in a few days kids in Flint will have to deal with the effects of drinking lead contaminated water for the rest of their lives.
