State Representative Scott Dianda is set to officially announce that he is seeking re-election.
The Calumet Democrat is the representative of the 110th District in the Michigan House.
He is currently in his second term at the state House.
In a press release, his office says he has worked to create a sensible energy policy for the U.P., support and bring new high-tech jobs to U.P. communities, ensure that students get a good education and can afford higher education or a trade school, and help senior citizens and veterans get the assistance they need.
Dianda will hold a kick-off event at the Ishpeming Town Hall tomorrow at noon.
