Fight In Hancock Ends With An Arrow Wound

A Hancock man is facing a charge of Aggravated/Felonious Assault.

The Hancock Police Department says the incident happened around 12:30pm on Saturday at a location on Summit Street.

Police were responding to a complaint of a fight when they arrived and found a 56-year-old man with an arrow wound to his left shoulder area.

The victim was taken to U.P. Health System—Portage by Mercy Ambulance where he was treated for his injuries.

A 58-year old suspect was arrested at the scene by police.

A warrant for the charges were obtained from the Houghton County Prosecutor.

The suspect has been lodged in the Houghton County Jail.
