MI GOP Chair Staying Out Of The Trump Talk

Many Republicans in Michigan are throwing their hands in the air over the fact that Donald Trump has remained a frontrunner in most polling.

They argue that, among other things, Trump’s ideology leans Democratic on many issues.

Other GOP faithful cringe at the notion Trump could be their party’s standard bearer, as in the past he has supported a single-payer health plan, and has called himself pro-choice.

But Michigan’s Republican Party Chair, Ronna Romney McDaniel, is staying out of the fray.

She says the best thing about being party chair is that she is totally neutral in the race.

McDaniel says she looks forward to all the candidates getting in front of Michigan voters.

She’s also confident that Trump is fully committed to a promise not to run as an independent if he doesn’t get the nomination.

Michigan’s presidential primary is March 8th.
