Michigan Ranks Near The Bottom For Racial Integration, Equality

On this Martin Luther King holiday, Wallethub.com has released an analysis shows Michigan no better than 44th in making strides toward more equality and integration.

WalletHub’s analysts checked the racial temperature of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

The analysis is based on 10 key indicators, ranging from median annual income to home ownership rates to voter turnout.

Michigan was 45th in “employment and wealth.”

The state was 37th in “Education & Civic Engagement.”

Ranking first overall is Hawaii. Minnesota is last.
