Parents in Flint should feel free to give their kids a bath, as long as it’s a quick one, even though high lead levels have been found in the city’s water.
Doctor Eden Wells, the state’s chief medical executive, says the water is safe for baths as long as kids don’t accidentally drink it.
That’s why she recommends a quick tub to keep the splashing and playing to a minimum.
Her comments come after the state put a poster online featuring babies in a tub and bubble captions over their heads talking about how it’s okay for parents to give their kids a bath using Flint’s water.
The state has taken the poster down.
