Walk-Away Inmate Not Competent To Stand Trial

An inmate who walked away from a jail work crew last fall will not be headed to trial.

35-year old Mark Revoir was found not competent to stand trial at a hearing this week in 97th District Court.

Court records indicate that he will be sent to the state forensic center for further testing.

Revoir walked away from a minimum security work crew at the Houghton RV Park on October 9th and was taken into custody again later that day.

He was serving a sentence for retail fraud and is now charged with escape from a felony jail sentence.

No further court appearances are scheduled at this time.
