Roughly 500 Kids See Santa Over Christmas In Calumet Weekends

If you still have gifts to buy, you better hurry.

But if you did your shopping during one of December’s Christmas in Calumet events, you probably don’t have as much last minute shopping to do.

Vertin Gallery Manager Mary Sue Hyslop says they saw huge crowds in their store during the two visits there from Santa Claus.

Scheduled dog sled rides had to be cancelled due to lack of snow and the horse drawn wagon rides were delayed the first weekend but they returned for a bonus Saturday to make up for it.

Christmas In Calumet is put on by Main Street Calumet, who also help with the art district’s First Friday events.

First Friday’s will be taking a break in January as it will be New Years Day, but will return in February.
