Benefit Concert At The Calumet Theater Cancelled

The Scott Helmer Support Your Cause Concert scheduled for Sunday, December 27th, at the Calumet Theatre has been cancelled.

The announcement comes from the Theatre’s Executive Director Laura Miller.

Booking agent Marissa Daly said Helmer had a polyp rupture on his vocal cord during a performance earlier this week and will need to have it repaired.

This will require a minimum of two weeks of voice rest.

Helmer had been scheduled to perform at the Calumet Theatre as a fundraiser for Copper Country Humane Society, Dial Help, and the Theatre’s “Lift Us Up” elevator project.

Miller said that the three non-profits are hopeful they can reschedule Helmer for sometime in February.

Patrons who have purchased tickets are being notified and will be offered a credit or a refund.
