Nearly two-percent more Michiganders will be traveling more than 50 miles during the year-end holiday season compared to last year, according to AAA.
More than 3.1 million people traveled at least that far during last year’s holiday.
AAA says the upward trend marks the highest travel volume for the holiday period in 14 years, as data only dates back to 2001.
Nationally, the number of year-end holiday travelers is expected to top 100 million for the first time on record.
