NOTICE OF CITY COUNCIL VACANCY
HOUGHTON CITY COUNCIL
The Houghton City Council is accepting letters of application to fill a vacancy on the Houghton City Council. Section 2.3 of the Houghton City Charter states that qualifications are “any qualified voter of the city 18 years of age, or older, and a continuous resident of the City of Houghton for 12 months, and not be in default thereto”. Letters of application should be sent to: City of Houghton, PO Box 606, Houghton, MI, 49931, or e-mailed to citymanager@cityofhoughton.com.
The term to be filled will run until November 8, 2016. Further information may be obtained from the City Manager or the City Clerk at 482-1700. The deadline for receiving applications will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.
