The Finlandia men’s hockey team took a 2-0 lead, but wound up with a 2-2 tie against Aurora University yesterday. Avery Huibregtse and Derek Chaillier scored for the Lions. The Lions fell to Aurora 4-1 Saturday evening.

The Detroit Red Wings lost to the Dallas Stars 4-1 yesterday. Goalie Jimmy Howard had to leave that game late in the third period after taking a knee to the head. The Wings host the Washington Capitals tomorrow night. Faceoff is at 7:30 on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.

The Detroit Pistons scored 41 points in the fourth quarter, and raced past the Portland Trailblazers 120-103 last night. Reggie Jackson poured in 40 for Detroit, and Andre Drummond grabbed 27 rebounds. The Pistons visit the Golden State Warriors tonight.

The Green Bay Packers’ late comeback attempt fell short, as they lost to the Carolina Panthers 37-29 yesterday. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdown passes in the losing effort.

The Detroit Lions had the weekend off.

In last night’s game, Sam Bradford’s 41-yard touchdown pass in overtime lifted the Philadelphia Eagles to a 33-27 win over the Dallas Cowboys. Tonight, the Chicago Bears play at San Diego. Hear the broadcast on AM 1400 and FM 99.3, WCCY.
